Handbook & Agreement

OVERVIEW

Purpose. The Sisters Dance Academy Competitive program is designed to help you grow both in and out of the studio. The purpose is to provide dancers with an opportunity to develop advanced skills, responsibility, leadership, sportsmanship, and self-discipline.

Eligibility

  • AGE. 4th-12th grade during the 2026=2027 school year

  • TRAINING. A base minimum of two years of dance classes. For performance ensembles, at least one year of jazz or contemporary plus at least one year of ballet. For hip hop, at least two years of hip hop classes.

  • TECHNIQUE.. A demonstrated mastery of age-applicable foundations and fundamentals.

  • RELIABILITY & MATURITY. To be successful, dancers must possess a disciplined work ethic and emotional intelligence in and out of the studio.

AUDITIONS. A studio-wide email in May/June will provide details about auditions, which are held each year in late May or June. Results are announced within two weeks after auditions.

7th-8th Hip Hop -- Wed. 6/3, 4:30-5:30 pm
9th-12th Ensemble -- Sat. 5/30, 11:30 am -1:00
9th-12th Hip Hop -- Wed. 6/3, 6:15-7:00 pm

HANDBOOK & AGREEMENT

Team members are held to a higher standard and help set the tone for the entire studio. Younger dancers carefully watch your example. You are expected to always be respectful, supportive, and encouraging to others. While at the studio, in class, backstage, at school, or in the community, you are expected to:

  • Support and respect others, including coach(es), teammates, and other dancers

  • Show determination, focus, and dedication

  • Use clean, respectful language

  • Be kind and uplifting
