**FAMILIES WITH MULTIPLE STUDENTS IN MULTIPLE CLASSES, Jenica can send you all of your costumes, schedules, etc. in a single doc.

**Label Everything! Write your child’s name on EACH costume pieces, shoes, accessories, tights, etc and place them in a labeled garment bag. Place accessories in a labeled clear ziploc bag.

COSTUME CARE: Take special care of costumes. Do not wash or use a traditional iron because the materials can shrink, burn, melt, or change color. To remove wrinkles, use only a steam iron, hand held steamer, or hang in the bathroom during a shower. A commercial-grade clothes steamer is available to use at the studio, in the auditorium during rehearsal, and in the back hallway before performances.

TULLE SKIRTS: Grasp the waist and give a gentle shake, then use your fingers to “comb” out any pieces of tulle that are wrinkled. Store on a hanger upside down. Use a hand-held steamer or hang in the bathroom during a shower

LIPSTICK: To prevent smudging, we highly recommend covering the lip in a matte lipliner instead of lipstick. If you use lipstick, matte is preferred. Finish with translucent powder or setting spray.

HAIR: For more info and instructions, refer to the “Hair” section on the previous page. For buns, Lonnie prefers a classic ballet bun without a “donut.”

REMOVE “EXTRAS” : No nail polish or jewelry, except for small, simple stud earrings.

  • MAKEUP: Optional for this age group, but does help to bring out facial features under the bright lights! Mascara, foundation to match their skin tone, blush, red lipstick.

    Pre-K Hip Hop, Mon (Lonnie) “Under the Sea”
    Provided: Girls blue sequin top, blue tulle skirt, star headband. Boys fishing vest. All dancers need to provide all-black tennis shoes. Boys need to also provide a plain white t-shirt and black pants. Hair: Girls wear hair down, nicely groomed/curled, with starfish headband. 

    Pre-K Ballet/Tap, Wed (Lonnie) “How Far I’ll Go” Provided: Moana costume, leafy leis for hair, anklets, and neck. Bare feet. Hair: Down, nicely groomed/curled

    Pre-K Ballet/Tap, Thurs 1:30 (Lonnie) “Ring of Fire” Provided: Western dress, hair piece, tan tights. Dancers will need to provide: black tap shoes Hair: High slicked ponytail with hair piece

    Pre-K Ballet/Tap, Thu 3:30 (Lonnie) “Mermaid Party”  Provided: Lilac/blue dress, pale pink tights, hair piece. Dancers will need to provide: black tap shoes. Hair: High slicked ponytail with hair piece

    Pre-K Hip Hop, Fri (Lonnie) “Flames and Fire Fighters”  Provided: Fire dress and headband -or- firefighter overalls and hat. Dancers will need to provide: All-black shorts, all-black sneakers. Firefighters will also need to provide a white t-shirt for under costume. Hair: Down, groomed/curled nicely under hat or with headband

To avoid smudges and color transfers, use a matte finish, or a red lip liner on the whole lip instead of lipstick, which works great!

    K-1st BALLET/LYRICAL, Wed 5:30 (Lonnie) “Heal the World” Provided: blue/teal dress, pink tights, hair piece. Dancers will need to provide: pink ballet shoes. Hair: Slicked-back, low bun with middle part. A flat ballet bun, without a bun builder, is preferred. Hair piece is pinned beside the bun on the dancer’s right side.

    K-1st Grade Hip Hop Mon. 3:30 (Allison) “Levitating” Provided: iridescent top. Dancers will need to provide: all black fitted long sleeve shirt, all black tennis shoes. Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part.

    K-1st Grade Hip Hop Mon. 4:15 (Allison) “Dynamite” Provided: fire hoodie, fire sweatpants. Dancers will need to provide: all black socks, all black sneakers. Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part

    K-1st Ballet/Jazz Mon. (Lonnie) : “Back to the Earth” Provided: denim jumper, white leotard, gardening gloves, sun hat. Dancers will need to provide: black jazz shoes  Hair: Down and nicely groomed under sun hat 

    K-1st Ballet/Jazz Tues. (Lonnie): “Great Balls of Fire” Provided: white/red dress, tan tights, white gloves, and hair piece. Dancers will need to provide black jazz shoes. Hair: Slicked-back low ponytail with middle part and hair piece.

    K-1st Ballet/Lyrical Tues (Lonnie) “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” Provided: cream dress, pale pink tights, hair piece. Dancers will need to provide: pink ballet shoes Hair: Slicked-back, low bun with middle part. A flat ballet bun, without a bun builder, is preferred. Hair piece is pinned beside the bun on the dancer’s right side.

    K-1st Hip Hop Thu (Ashley) “All Around the World” Provided: Brown t-shirt, camo sweatpants, black vest, camo bandana. Dancers need to provide: All black tennis shoes. Hair: Slicked-back low ponytail with middle part. Bandana tied at top of head.

  • MAKEUP for this age group: Black mascara, light/smokey eye shadow, black eyeliner with a small wing (optional), foundation to match skin tone, pink/rosy blush, red lipstick, false eyelashes (optional). To avoid lipstick smudges and color transfers, use a matte finish, or a red lip liner on the whole lip instead of lipstick, which works great!

    2nd-3rd Grade Hip Hop, Thu (Ashley) “Rocketeer” Provided: silver jacket, silver pants, black hat. Dancers will need to provide all-black sneakers (black tshirt is no longer needed!) Hair: Mid-ponytail to go through the hole in the back of the hat.

    2nd-3rd Grade Ballet/Lyrical, Tue (Lonnie) “Colors of the Wind”  Provided: silvery-blue dress, pale pink tights, hair piece. Dancers will need to provide: pink ballet shoes. Hair: Slicked-back, low bun with middle part. A flat ballet bun, without a bun builder, is preferred. Hair piece is pinned beside the bun on the dancer’s right side.

    2nd-3rd Grade Jazz, Wed (Lonnie) “Walkin’ on Sunshine” Provided: yellow/rainbow dress, tan tights, bow. Dancers will need to provide: black jazz shoes. Hair: licked-back, low ponytail with middle part with bow.

    2nd-3rd Grade Ballet/Lyrical, Fri. (Lonnie) “Over the Rainbow” Provided: Rainbow tulle dress, pale pink tights, rainbow ribbon. Dancers will need to provide: pink ballet shoes. Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part with ribbon.

    4th-6th Grade Jazz, Mon (Colby) “Fire in My Heart” Provided: red dress. Dancers need to provide: nude half-soles (no holes or white showing at the toe) Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part

    4th-6th Grade Acro (Ava)  “Just Like Fire” Provided: red sequin outfit, hair pins, with bare feet. Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part. Hair pins on dancer’s right side behind the ear.

    4th-6th Ballet Lyrical, Wed (Lonnie) “Ocean Eyes” Provided: blue dress, pale pink tights, hair piece. Dancer will need to provide: pink ballet shoes (no holes or white showing at the toe). Hair: Slicked-back, low bun with middle part. A flat ballet bun, without a bun builder, is preferred. Hair piece is pinned beside the bun on the dancer’s right side.

    4th-6th Ballet/Lyrical Thu (Lonnie) “Oceans” Provided: teal dress, pale pink tights, hair piece.     Prep Hip Hop (Shannon) Provided: red jacket, white tank top. Dancer will need to provide: all-black leggings, all-white tennis shoes. Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part.

    7th+ Hip Hop Mon. (Allison) “Underdog”  Costume: Provided: green hoodie, brown shorts, white high socks. Dancer will need to provide: all-white tennis shoes (clean, like new). Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part.

    7th-Teen Latin Jazz (Liz) “Mi Salsa es Caliente” Provided: burgundy dress, arm covers, tan tights. Elias: black shirt. Dancer will need to provide: latin shoes - Elias will need black pants. Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part.

    7th-Teen Jazz (Ava) “SOS” Provided: mesh top, orange pants. Dancer will need to provide: black camisole leotard, nude half-soles (no holes or white showing through at the toes). Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part.

    6th-7th Grade Contemporary (Becca) “Oil & Water” Provided: gray-blue outfit; Elias: gray-blue shirt. Dancer will need to provide: half-soles (no holes or white showing at the toes) Elias will also need to provide black pants. Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part.

    Teen Beg./Int. Contemporary (Becca) “This Bitter Earth” Provided: brown dress. Dancer will need to provide: half-soles (no holes or white showing at the toes) Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part.

    Jr. Hip Hop Team (Shannon) “Rain” Dancers will need to provide their own costume of denim and white. Items should be baggy; no tank tops. Outfits must be pre-approved in class. Tennis shoes need to be clean, like new. Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part.

    6th+ Grade Ballet/Lyrical, Wed (Lonnie)  “Bridge Over Troubled Water”  Provided: teal/white ombre dress, pale pink tights. Dancer will need to provide: pink ballet shoes (no holes or white showing at the toes) Hair: Slicked-back, low bun with middle part. A flat ballet bun, without a bun builder, is preferred. 

    7th+ Grade Hip Hop, Thu (Ashley)  “Drippin’ Like Water” Provided: Black or turquoise pants. Dancer will need to provide: black leather jacket, all-white tennis shoes  Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part. Elias: nicely combed

    7th+ Grade Int. Ballet (Lonnie) “Singin’ in the Rain” Provided: Red/Black dress, hair piece, tan tights; Elias black shirt, red tie. Dancer will need to provide: pink ballet shoes (no holes or white showing at toes) Elias will need to provide black pants, black ballet shoes. Hair: Slicked-back, low bun with middle part. Hair piece pinned to the dancer’s right side. A flat ballet bun, without a bun builder, is preferred. Elias: nicely combed.

    Jr/Sr Ensemble: “Dirt” – White long sleeve top and tan pants will be provided. Dancer will need to provide: nude half-soles (no holes or white showing at toes), and white camisole if needed. Hair: Slicked-back, low ponytail with middle part.
