Dress Rehearsal

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: Please come directly to the auditorium at least 10-15 minutes before your stage time. Dances should sit with their class towards the front-right side of the auditorium.

Dancers only need to be at rehearsal for their own rehearsal time(s) and may leave when their stage time is done. They are welcome to arrive earlier and stay later to watch other classes!

SUPERVISION: There is no check-in or check-out or supervision during rehearsal. Parents/guardians are responsible for the comings and goings of their dancers and must accompany dancers 11 years or younger.

APPROVED AREAS: ONLY in the Commons, Commons Restrooms, and Auditorium. DO NOT enter any other areas, including the choir or band rooms.

COSTUME CHANGES: A few changing pods will be available in the auditorium as needed. Wearing a nude/skintone leotard underneath costumes is recommended for quick and easy costume changes during rehearsal and performances (see Jenica if you’d like to purchase one)

NOTE: If there is only one class (10 mins) between your dances, it’s considered a “quick change” and dancers need to stay in the auditorium to change (i.e. pods or nude leotard) so they don’t miss their next cue.

STEAMER: A commercial-grade clothes steamer is always available in the studio and at the high school on Saturday during rehearsal.

FOOD/DRINK: No food / drink is allowed in the auditorium. Please eat in the Commons.

QUIET PLEASE: Enthusiastic applause is entirely encouraged, but otherwise please remain very quiet in the auditorium so the teachers can easily communicate with each other, their classes, and the sound/light techs – this helps us stay on schedule!

HELP!? Lonnie and the teachers are generally unavailable for questions. Please find Jenica with any questions. She’ll have her bins of supplies if you need any help with buns, makeup, etc. (503-780-4947)
